Our academic track is powered by Pearson Online Academy (an elite, fully accredited U.S. online private school) and delivered locally in Madrid through Ivy League Tutoring’s “Holding Hands” model:

• U.S. Junior High & High School curriculum (Grades 6–12) delivered online.
• In-person tutors in Madrid – the program is not only online.
• We “hold hands” with each student: we guide them step by step to access the best universities in the United States and other world-leading institutions.
• Tutors act as proctors for exams and ensure that all assignments, quizzes and projects are completed correctly and on time.

Comprehensive Academic & Tennis Program

Total price: €54,170 for 10 months (September 1st 2026 through June 30th 2027). This includes:

• Daily Monday–Friday tennis & fitness: approximately 20 hours per week of tennis and physical training.
• Full tuition & books: access to Pearson Online Academy plus 22 hours per week of customized in-person academic tutoring at the FTM facilities.
• Accommodation & full board: daily full accommodation and full board in residence or apartments in Madrid.
• University Placement Service: Ivy League Tutoring’s proprietary University Placement program, valued at approximately €10,800, included in the program price for those student-athletes committing to the one-year academic program.

Program Fee & Payment Options

The comprehensive 10-month Ivy League Tutoring & You Tennis & Academic Program in Madrid has a base fee of €54,170 (see “Program Features & Prices”). Families may choose among the following four payment structures:

• Option 1 · 25% Down + 10 Monthly Installments – No Discount
  25% of the total fee is due by July 1st, 2026. The remaining 75% is divided into 10 equal monthly installments, starting on August 1st, 2026 and continuing through May 1st, 2027.
• Option 2 · 50% Upfront + 10 Monthly Installments – 2.5% Discount
  50% of the total fee is due by July 1st, 2026. The remaining 50% is divided into 10 equal monthly installments, starting on August 1st, 2026 and continuing through May 1st, 2027. A 2.5% discount is applied to the total amount.
• Option 3 · Full Pay (100% Upfront) – 5% Discount
  Pay the full program fee by July 1st, 2026 and receive a 5% discount on the total amount.
• Option 4 · Early Bird – Pay in Full by May 1st – 7% Discount
  Pay the full program fee by May 1st, 2026 and receive a 7% discount on the total amount.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email or signed document) to Ivy League Tutoring & You or its official partners. Refunds are calculated based on the total amount paid at the time of cancellation.

• Cancellations made before July 1st, 2026
  If the family cancels the program before July 1st, 2026, Ivy League Tutoring & You will refund 90% of all amounts paid. The remaining 10% will be retained by the company to cover fixed costs derived from organizing the Ivy League Tutoring & You Program.
• Cancellations made on or after July 1st, 2026 and before the official start of the program
  If the family cancels the program on or after July 1st, 2026 but before the official start date (September 1st, 2026), Ivy League Tutoring & You will refund 70% of all amounts paid. The remaining 30% will be retained to cover fixed costs derived from organizing the Ivy League Tutoring & You Program.

Percentages are applied to the total amount paid by the family at the time of cancellation, including down payments and any installments already made. Bank charges, currency conversion costs and third-party processing fees are non-refundable.

1. 1. Why is it essential to use your critical thinking and reasoning skills when choosing the most competitive academic and tennis program in Spain for your children’s future?

   Because your child’s future is truly on the line. Families should not choose a program only on the basis of marketing slogans, beautiful facilities or personal sympathies. It is essential to ask tough questions and to look at measurable data: admissions results, scholarship offers, SAT scores, academic rigor, coaching structure, university lists and outcomes after graduation.

   A decision based on clear, quantitative evidence is far more likely to lead to a successful academic, athletic and professional future than a decision based only on intuition or habit. Critical thinking is the first lesson we ask of parents—before we ask it of their children.

2. 2. Why choose the American Educational System in its Honors and AP version instead of the Spanish Educational System?

   The traditional Spanish educational system is designed primarily to access Spanish universities. Students typically receive limited academic English training and are not systematically prepared for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT or TOEFL. As a result, many graduates lack the level of English and subject-specific proficiency needed to be competitive for admissions and scholarships at top American universities.

   An American high school curriculum with Honors and AP courses, by contrast, is built from the start around the expectations of world American universities. Every year of high school becomes part of a structured pathway towards those international goals.

3. 3. Why is it worth investing more money in the American Educational System versus the Spanish system, which is free of charge, or a conventional private Spanish school?

   Because you are not only paying for “school” – you are paying for options. Graduates from top world American universities often access global careers and starting salaries that can be several times higher than those from lower-ranked institutions. This difference tends to compound over an entire professional life.

   A free system (or a conventional private Spanish school) may reduce short-term costs, but it usually limits access to the most selective U.S. universities and the strongest scholarship packages. An elite American program is an investment in a wider, stronger set of future opportunities for your son or daughter.

4. 4. Why select the “Holding Hands” virtual and in-person tutorials rather than the student doing everything on his or her own?

   Based on more than 35 years of experience, we know that very few teenagers can independently manage a demanding online curriculum, multiple Honors/AP courses, standardized testing and high-level tennis at the same time.

   The “Holding Hands” model provides in-person tutors who adapt to each student’s level, pace and learning style, ensuring they really understand the material, stay on track and complete every assignment on time. Year after year, grades and SAT/ACT outcomes are significantly stronger for students who are accompanied by expert tutors than for those who try to navigate everything alone.

5. 5. Why choose our Academic & Tennis program (Ivy League Tutoring & YOU) instead of the other established academies in Spain?

   Because it is, by design, the most selective and academically demanding program in Spain, and it is built specifically to open doors to top world American universities, not just “any” university abroad.

   On the tennis side, the program is held at the Federación de Tenis de Madrid (FTM), one of the strongest competitive tennis ecosystems in Europe, and it is based in Madrid, one of the most dynamic and progressive cities worldwide. This unique combination of elite academics, high-performance tennis and a global city makes our program fundamentally different from standard tennis academies in Spain.

6. 6. What are the avenues my child could follow upon high school graduation if he or she is a super-competitive player?

   Broadly speaking, there are three realistic pathways:

   • 1) Turn professional directly in Spain
     The player focuses 100% on the professional circuit immediately after high school.
   • 2) Turn pro while playing college tennis in the U.S.
     The player develops as an athlete inside a top American university program, combining elite training, competition and a world-class degree.
   • 3) Play college tennis first and turn pro after graduation
     The player continues at a very high competitive level in college tennis, completes a university degree, and—if ranking and performance justify it—transitions to the professional tour afterwards.

   Our role is to help families analyze which of these paths makes the most sense in terms of level, ranking, academics, finances and long-term goals.

7. 7. What are clear examples of FTM (Madrid) players who are currently pursuing this path?

   Two strong examples connected to Madrid and the FTM environment illustrate these options:

   • Martín Landaluce – chose the direct professional pathway after high school and has established himself as a highly competitive ATP player.
   • Rafael Jódar – opted for the college tennis route, competing for the University of Virginia, one of the top programs in the NCAA, while progressing on the professional circuit.

   Both cases show that high-performance development in Madrid can lead either to an immediate professional career or to a combined college-tennis + pro-tennis project at one of the best universities in the United States.

8. 8. What universities can I attend upon high school graduation from a top-notch American Educational High School System?

   With the right combination of Honors/AP courses, strong GPA and competitive SAT/ACT scores, student-athletes can realistically target the top 1.7% of U.S. universities (approximately the top 70 out of more than 4,000 institutions).

   This includes Ivy League universities, MIT, Stanford and other leading research universities, as well as elite Liberal Arts colleges and top Business, STEM and Economics programs that are recognized worldwide.

9. 9. What universities could I attend if I graduate from a Spanish high school instead?

   A student graduating from a regular Spanish secondary school, without an American curriculum, usually faces a more limited set of options in the U.S. system. In most cases, these students position themselves for what we might call “standard” universities in America – institutions outside the most competitive tiers and often ranked much lower globally (for example, in the 1,000–4,000 range).

   While exceptions are possible, they typically require extra years of preparation (SAT/ACT, advanced English, additional coursework) after finishing Spanish high school. Starting directly in a top American high school system greatly increases both the quality and quantity of realistic options.

10. 10. Why do we continue to lead the charts in Europe for the most competitive SAT scores and the most notable placements in top world American universities?

    Because our entire system has been designed around results. As shown in the table of student outcomes, our students have achieved some of the highest SAT scores in Europe and India and have been admitted to many of the world’s leading American universities.

    This is the product of three factors: (1) a roster of Harvard-trained tutors and senior executives leading the academic and strategic design of the company, (2) a highly selective approach to the families and students we work with, and (3) a data-driven preparation model that connects curriculum, SAT/ACT preparation and university placement into one coherent system.

Ramón Romero – Academic Chief

Ramón Romero is the Academic Chief of Ivy League Tutoring & You, a Harvard graduate and President of Ivy League Tutoring Ltd for more than 34 years. Throughout his career he has guided hundreds of families and students through the American university admissions process, designing curricula, SAT/ACT strategies and scholarship roadmaps for high-achieving student-athletes around the world.

Juan Avendaño – Tennis Chief

Juan Avendaño is our Tennis Chief. A former Spanish ATP professional (career-high No. 71 in singles), he is best known for captaining Spain’s Davis Cup team when the country won the title in 2004 in Seville. He was the captain who, against the odds, selected a very young Rafael Nadal to play the Davis Cup Final against the United States at the Estadio de La Cartuja.

His experience at the highest level of world tennis shapes the competitive philosophy of the Ivy League Tutoring & You program and the way we prepare our players for college tennis and the professional circuit.

Óscar Burrieza – Tennis Co-Chief

Óscar Burrieza is Tennis Co-Chief. A former ATP Top-150 player (career-high No. 126 in singles), he brings years of experience as a high-performance coach on the professional tour.

He is currently the coach of Madrid tennis star Martín Landaluce, one of the most promising young players in Spain, and plays a key role in the daily on-court development of Ivy League Tutoring & You student-athletes at FTM. His presence ensures that the intensity, discipline and tactical levels in training match the demands of the ATP Tour and top U.S. college tennis programs.
